Library Love-in Feb 8, 2024

Join us in the Bascom/Tykeson room at Eugene Public Library downtown on February 8, from 5:30-7:30 pm, to fill out and decorate postcards that tell local elected officials how much our community loves our library.

All materials (postcards, art supplies, postage) will be available, as well as contact information for your elected official.

All ages welcome! Refreshments served!

Imagination Library Celebration - Sept 16, 2023

Families with young children and recent Imagination Library “graduates”: get together for a morning of stories and fun activities -- with prizes! Plus sign up for Imagination Library if your family is not yet participating.

All Lane County children from birth through age four are eligible for Imagination Library. When you sign up, your child will receive a new book every month by mail. The books are high quality, free of charge, and a gift to keep. More info and sign up online.

Imagination Library of Eugene is supported by Eugene Public Library Foundation in partnership with Northwest Community Credit Union.

Announcing Booked for the Evening April 2022

Eugene Public Library Foundation is pleased to invite our community to Booked for the Evening at 6pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Valley River Inn. Booked for the Evening is the Foundation’s premiere benefit event, raising funds and support for Eugene Public Library.

This year, we will fundraise for Eugene Public Library’s new Library of Things. The Library of Things will lend physical items that help community members unlock knowledge, explore interests, and share with each other.

Thank you to Northwest Community Credit Union!

At the virtual Imagination Library Luncheon in September, the credit union announced funding of $250,000 over 5 years for the Imagination Library of Eugene. This funding will enable us to serve all of unincorporated Eugene. It will also support United Way in closing the existing gaps of coverage in all of Lane County. As a result, beginning in January, 2022, every child in Lane County from birth through age four will be eligible to receive Imagination Library books in the mail.

Innovation Fund

Eugene Public Library Foundation has recently established the Innovation Fund, a new designation of funding from the Frank Falch estate to support Eugene Public Library’s community engagement during COVID-19 with emphasis on serving community members who are often marginalized and/or underserved.

Public School Access Initiative

Starting in September 2020, every student in Eugene School District 4J and Bethel Public School District will be eligible for a free Eugene Public Library card, including those who live outside City of Eugene limits.
