Imagination library luncheon

Many thanks to all of the Imagination Library Luncheon attendees who celebrated with us the 10th year of Imagination Library of Eugene at the Kidsports Fieldhouse on Wednesday, October 9, 2024! We appreciate you all for joining us to support a cause near and dear to Dolly Parton’s heart by championing early literacy in our community!

We are excited to report that we made over $89,000!

Imagination Library of Eugene, as well as this event, would not be possible without the support of our Imagination Library Advisory Board (ILAB). We are especially grateful to ILAB Chair, Meagan Rammell (pictured right), who always goes above and beyond to lend a hand.

2024 Luncheon Speakers

**Cathy Camper**

Cathy is the author of the award-winning *Lowriders in Space* graphic novel series, *Ten Ways to Hear Snow*, *Bugs Before Time*, and *Arab Arab All Year Round*. She also writes zines, and is a founding member of the Portland Women of Color zine collective. When she lived in Minnesota, Cathy was a board member of Mizna, an Arab American Literary Journal. Cathy is a librarian and lives in Portland, Oregon.

**Doug Barber**

Ten years ago, while on the Eugene Public Library Foundation Board, Doug helped found the Imagination Library of Eugene. Before he retired, Doug worked as a lobbyist at the Oregon State Legislature and as a television news reporter. Doug has three grandchildren who all love books from the Imagination Library.
