While we’ll miss being in person together to celebrate the Imagination Library of Eugene, we are excited to gather virtual on Zoom to support early literacy in our community.

We want to keep it short and sweet! The online event will be from approximately 11:45am to 12:45pm. A reminder that your entire ticket or table fee is tax deductible this year!

Individual tickets and tables are available, along with raffle tickets, and books offered by our featured authors. You’ll hear from the Foundation, Imagination Library Advisory Board, a family in the program, and local authors Bob Welch and Andre Royal Senior. The event may be virtual, but you will have time to socialize with your table during the event too. Invite your friends!

We are pleased to announce our speakers who will showcase the inspirational world of children’s literacy.

Our host, Bob Welch, is a household name in Eugene. Bob is a local speaker, author, award-winning columnist and writing teacher who has served as an adjunct professor of journalism at the University of Oregon in Eugene and has written more than 20 books. 

Featured speaker, Andre Royal, recently published his first children’s book, The Hippo-Critic, and its follow up Little Big Bear, which were illustrated by his son, Andre Royal Junior. The books center on experiences from Andre’s life and are presented in a format that is a hybrid comic  and coloring book.

Two Raffle Packages Include: 

Children’s Adventure Package: Children’s treats featured books, games, and toys curated by the Imagination Library Co-Chairs. 

Quilt Package: Featuring quilts and placemats by local quilter Helen Matthews and special books about quilts and quilting. 

A Zoom link and password will be emailed to all registered guests by Monday, September 21st. Registrations submitted after that point will receive the link following registration. 

You are able to join the event either by downloading the Zoom application or through visiting zoom.us/join in your browser and entering in the meeting information. 

The event room will open at 11:00am. Please join  by 11:30am to start on time at 11:45am. 

To attend the event, you will be able to use a computer, smart device (such as a tablet,  iPad, or smartphone), or call in on a landline. 

It is helpful to have your Zoom display the same as the name on your registration information.  

If you or your guests need support with Zoom prior to the event, please call (541) 338-7018 or email info@eplfoundation.org. We will be able to help with Zoom tests prior to the day of the event. 

Closed captions will be available to all.

Host an e-table of up to 10 guests! Your guests will join you in a personal breakout room during the event. You can also co-host a table with a friend. This is a wonderful way for you to share your love of early literacy and build support of the Imagination Library with your network! You can also sponsor a table for the Foundation to fill.
