Foundation Presents Biggest Gift Yet to the Library

The Eugene Public Library works hard to expand, enhance and strengthen programs and services at Eugene Public Library. We are honored to join with our library to bring lifelong learning and enrichment to all Eugene residents. With the help of many generous donors and benefactors, the Foundation gift to the library increases every year.

We are pleased to announce the largest gift to the library in Foundation history, outside of the capital campaign for the present library building. At the annual end-of-year meeting of the Board of Directors in June, Library Director Connie Bennett was presented with the FYE17 gift to the library. Combined with the Foundation’s support for Imagination Library, event revenue and additional gifts from library supporters, the gift to the library exceeded half a million dollars for a total of $532,724.54!

Thousands of books will come to children through the Imagination Library, online databases will continue and thrive, Lucky Day books will have a steady supply of reading options for everyone, and children will enjoy a variety of storytimes, just for them.

Sincere thanks to you all for your ongoing contributions to community enrichment at our library. You are making a difference for thousands of library patrons. We hope you come to the library soon and often!
