Booked for the Evening 2016 – The Most Successful Event in Foundation History!

Booked for the Evening 2016 – The Most Successful Event in Foundation History!

Booked for the Evening 2016 took place on Friday, September 30 at Valley River Inn. With exciting Eugene Public Library Exhibits, delicious food and beverage and great conversation, generous attendees raised a record-breaking $76,033. This makes Booked for the Evening 2016 the most successful event in Foundation history!

Attendees saw 3-D printers and digitized textile arts in action. Green screen pictures with scenes from Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Library of Congress, and more were popular. Children reading Imagination Library books reminded all of the crucial need for programs supporting early literacy. All of these services are made possible by Foundation donors.

A high point was an announcement regarding the library’s return to mobile services. The Mobile Innovation Hub will now become a reality because of the enthusiastic and generous response from attendees at the event.

All of us at the Foundation continue to be profoundly grateful to you. Your support of library services opens the door of opportunity to everyone in Eugene. Thank you again for a wonderful evening!
